"ANZAC Revisited: The Contemporary New Zealand
Strategic Outlook"
to be delivered by
Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Keating
Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment
Former Commander, New Zealand Special Air Service
on Thursday, April 22, 2004, at 6:30 p.m.
Tim Keating graduated from Officer Cadet School in
1982 and was commissioned as an infantry officer. He joined the SAS as a
troop commander in 1986 and rose through the ranks to become its
Commanding Officer, 1999-2001. His SAS experience includes a year as the
New Zealand Senior National Officer with the Multi-National Force and
Observers in the Sinai, 1996-1997. In 2001 he was posted as Commandant
of the Officer Cadet School of New Zealand. He has spent the current
academic year as a student at the United States Army War College in
Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
