Goverment's Voluntary Registry for Kiwis Abroad |
A few years ago the New Zealand Embassy created a
voluntary database Register of Kiwis living in the US to be used in
relation to consular activities. In 2003 they upgraded the web
registration process to allow you to update your own contact information.
In order to keep their records accurate and up to date, they request
that you login at their secure web-page
https://www.kiwisoverseas.govt.nz and update your own information.
Note this information is treated as
confidential. In a crisis, they will use it to contact you: e.g.
after a major hurricane, or if a situation involving you back in N.Z.
requires contact.
For those with registered email address and password, simply use this
information to login.
For those who registered with the N Z Embassy before passwords were
required, you may use a combination of name, email and zip code to
login. If you have any trouble logging in, they ask that you simply
re-register with this system.
The New Zealand Embassy in Washington DC appreciates your assistance.
Continue to check out their web-site at
www.nzembassy.com/usa
for news briefs, information on NZ and consular information. They revamped the "About this Embassy" section and added links
to the "
NZers in the USA" section. They
have lots of info. on the website e.g.
passports, processing
citizenship application & "
In need of Help"
